Thanks to its strong presence throughout France and its universal banking model, Crédit Agricole is helping to support businesses of every size. To date, Crédit Agricole has provided 28% of all loans provided under the state-guaranteed lending scheme (PGE).

The Crédit Agricole Group operates via its Regional Banks, LCL and Crédit Agricole CIB.

Since the introduction of the PGE (Prêt Garanti par l’Etat) scheme (figures as at 10 June):

  • 167,509 state-guaranteed loans have been applied for by customers of Crédit Agricole Regional Banks, LCL and Crédit Agricole CIB, for a total of €26.6 billion.

2.3% of these applications were ineligible for the scheme. The Crédit Agricole Group is working with the customers concerned to find other solutions to help them through the crisis.

Since the beginning of March 2020, Crédit Agricole has granted 557,320 repayment holidays on loans across all markets, with payment deferrals totalling 4.2 billion, including 345,250 for business, professional customers and farmers, representing €3.6 billion.
