Deutsche Bank successfully completed its € 500 million share buyback program announced on August 24, 2026. Between August 25 and September 25, 2026, approximately 15.1 million shares, or 0.8% of the bank’s share capital, were repurchased at a volume-weighted average price of € 33.19 per share. The program was Deutsche Bank’s first program from current-year net profit.
For the financial year 2026 and subsequent years, the bank targets a payout ratio of 60% of net profit attributable to Deutsche Bank shareholders, with further scope for distributions of excess capital where our CET1 capital ratio sustainably exceeds 14%. With the completion of this program, aggregate share buyback activities reached € 1.5 billion in 2026 (2025: € 1 billion).
