Isabelle Giordano will succeed Jean Jacques Goron as Head of Group Philanthropy and General Delegate of the BNP Paribas Foundation

As of 1 July 2021, Jean-Jacques Goron who has headed Group Philanthropy at BNP Paribas and its Foundation since 2015, and had served as Deputy Head of BNP Paribas Group Philanthropy since 2001, will retire and Isabelle Giordano will succeed him. Isabelle Giordano will join the Group as of 1 January 2021 and will work with Jean-Jacques Goron until his retirement in July 2021.

Isabelle Giordano will report to Antoine Sire, Head of Company Engagement and member of the BNP Paribas Group Executive Committee.

Under the aegis of the Fondation de France, the BNP Paribas Foundation has played a major role in Corporate Philanthropy for over 30 years. It is involved in many projects and deploys the Group's philanthropy actions in the fields of culture, solidarity and the environment. In the context of the health crisis, it plays a key role in supporting society and notably contributed significantly in April 2020 to the deployment of the Group's 55 million euros emergency plan for hospitals and associations.

Jean Jacques Goron successfully steered the Corporate Philanthropy initiatives of the Group and the BNP Paribas Foundation at a time when Corporate Philanthropy has undergone a profound transformation. From supporting school trips in Seine-Saint-Denis to helping refugees in Europe, financing international climate research programmes and supporting the development of jazz and contemporary dance around the world, it has enabled significant initiatives in the daily lives of the beneficiaries. We are delighted to welcome Isabelle Giordano to pursue the strategy that has made the BNP Paribas Foundation a benchmark in Corporate Philanthropy since its creation in 1984, while responding to new challenges in environmental, cultural and social fields. Isabelle Giordano will contribute to the Group's Philanthropy activities and to the Foundation's knowledge of social and cultural topics, its experience in international activities and volunteer commitments. ‘Said Michel Pébereau, Honorary Chairman of BNP Paribas and Chairman of the BNP Paribas Foundation.
